Capital Gym Sports
Also known as Capital Gymnastics. This club has operated in Wellington for 40 years and gymnasts from Capital Gym Sports have competed successfully in national and international competitions. Preschool classes (3 to-4-year-olds) are designed to develop motor skills, coordination, balance, spatial awareness and musicality with all the fun and imagination of the circus. The class format includes warm up games, fun and challenging circuits of activities, and a “circus parade” with music and colourful circus capes. Fit Kidz provides whole body movement development programmes to prepare each participant for their physical or sporting future through its unique gymnastic based structured programmes to enhance the key elements of balance, swing, spring, rotation, landing, flexibility, strength, and co-ordination. For ages six weeks to 5 years. Instructor-led sessions for babies and infants’ development including gentle movement, music, massage, tummy-time and dance. Harbour City GymSports
Formerly known as Hataitai Gymfun, Harbour City GymSports (HCG) has operated in Wellingtons Eastern Suburbs for over 15 years. Mighty Movers is a fun circuit based fundamental movement program. Groups of children of similar age are guided through a range of progressive and measured movement activities. Tinytown Early Birds
Tinytown has an Early Birds programme on Mondays and Thursday mornings. It is a fun and engaging pre-school class that develops children’s confidence and provides early motor skill development. A wide range of exciting equipment is utilised. All sessions incorporate circuit based exploratory play which develops balance and coordination. Ages are 2-5, cost is $6.70 per class. For ages 2-3 years and 3-4 years. A preschool activities fun class to develop the foundations of physical activities such as running, jumping, climbing and balancing. Tumbling Tots aims to increase children’s confidence and self-esteem through physical challenge and achievement and to encourage co-operation and interaction with other children. Bonobo provides unique, small group movement classes, targeted towards children aged 7-12 with all levels of physical ability and interests. The classes are designed to expose your child to a wide variety of games and physical applications in a fun, innovative and encouraging environment.
Classes include physical development of jumping, landing, climbing, running, throwing, and catching. Sensory development such as hand-eye coordination, eye tracking and the understanding of tactile input. Gym Jam is a safe, friendly and fun indoor play land filled with soft play equipment and a bouncy castle for your pre-schooler to use. No need to book, just turn up on the day. Children must be supervised at all times. 9.30am – 12 noon, Saturdays, Nairnville Recreation Centre. Cost: $4.20. 9.30-11.30am, Fridays, Karori Recreation Centre. Cost: $4.50 for 2 years and older, $1.60 for under 2’s

Tumbling Tots at ASB Centre
